Jeff is a life long fly fisherman with over 65 years of fishing and fly tying experience. He is a retired educator and lifelong photographer with a Masters Degree in Instructional Media. Creating educational programs and presenting them in a professional manner has been Jeff’s life work. Having had the good fortune to fish, and associate with fly fishers and fly tiers from across the country who have been willing to share information and mentor, Jeff is now passing on some of this wealth of knowledge and experience to fellow fly fishers. For nearly 30 years Jeff has been a resident of Spokane, Washington, an area with superb access to some of the finest freshwater fly fishing in the United States. With Eastern Washington’s close proximity to Idaho and Western Montana, many days each year are spent fishing the waters of these two states. Jeff fishes a lot, 3-4 days per week is the usual. Most days will find him at the tying bench for a period of time.
In the past few years, a passion for saltwater fly fishing has become a reality. Very addicting! Annual trips to Mexico are a "given". The southern states coastal waters are a strong draw where chasing redfish, snook, tarpon and more is a wonderful adventure.
The compelling reason for presenting fly fishing programs is to share information and associate with fellow fly fishers. Program subject matter is based on personal experience with no intent to impress You will learn about the good and the "not so good". The only desire is to provide an enjoyable and worthwhile experience for the audience. Viewing some great photographs, receiving some reliable information, hearing some fishing stories and jokes all makes for an enjoyable time. That is what a "Good Program" is all about.
Any group or individual wishing to pick his brain about fishing opportunities will be rewarded. Jeff loves interacting with fellow fly fishers. From bluegill to tarpon............... FLY FISHING IS THE GAME
